2025 is already showing us that we need to pray! Over our families, over our communities, over our country. We need God now more than ever. And if you’re an entrepreneur like me, we need Him in our businesses, too. Here are five prayers you can pray over your business as you look to grow and glorify God in 2025.

Show me what YOU want me to do this year.

The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps. Prov. 16:9

Dear God, as I start this new year, I want to start it with you. My desire is to honor you in my business in 2025 and acknowledge that YOU are my CEO. I submit my will to yours in terms of my business and, while I may have a strategic plan, business goals or milestones, I know that it’s your plan that prevails. So as I plan, meet me where I am and guide me along your path for me. Help me to make the right decisions and move in the direction you want me to go, even if this means moving me out of my comfort zone. I know that you are with me wherever I go, and I trust you to lead me on my business journey this year.

Open my eyes to see new opportunities to serve others.

So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith. Gal. 6:10

Lord, thank you for the products and services you’ve allowed me to create. Help me assess my services from my customer’s point of view to ensure they meet their needs. Show me what services need to be added or removed from my list or if any pricing needs to be adjusted. Help me to be both fair and profitable as I set my rates. Show me any gaps in my industry that need to be filled or where there is an unmet need in my target market that I can meet. And help me to serve others with excellence for their good and your glory.

Give me discernment about what people to align with in my business.

Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm. Proverbs 13:20

As I go throughout this year, Lord, please show me which people I should connect with – or disconnect from. Send me the clients and customers you want me to work with, and protect me from people with spirits or intentions that are not of you. Help me find the right vendors, consultants, coaches, mentors, and partners who will encourage me to be my best, speak life into me and my business, and hold me accountable to your standards. Bless my networking activities so they are fruitful and mutually rewarding, now or down the road, as you see fit. Help me to be a light and positive influence for you among everyone I interact with so that they see you and not me.

Help me to be a good steward of the revenue you allow my business to generate.

You shall remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth, that he may confirm his covenant that he swore to your fathers, as it is this day. Deuteronomy 8:18

Father, whether I earn hundreds, thousands, or millions, help me remember that you are the one who gave me the ability to make an income, and help me honor you through every dime I spend. Let me be free from debt. Let me keep track of my income and expenses and be knowledgeable of my profit margins. I ask that you help me find the right accountant, bookkeeper, and tax professionals that I may need to keep my books and taxes in order. I pray that you direct me to be a cheerful giver and remember that everything I have comes from you.

Allow me to experience your peace as I pursue your purposes.

It is in vain that you rise up early and go late to rest, eating the bread of anxious toil; for he gives to his beloved sleep. Psalm 127:2

Father, entrepreneurship is hard work, and I’m grateful for the privilege of being a business owner. As I work to honor you, serve others, and build wealth, I ask that you help me protect my peace by not stressing over everything I need to do. Help me manage my time and projects well. Help me set boundaries and stick to them so I can enjoy this entrepreneurial journey while also maintaining my health, personal commitments, and relationships. Please keep all overwhelm, confusion, and anxiety away from me, Lord, as I draw closer to you and do the work you’ve given me to do. Most of all, help me to remember that your love for me is not contingent on my performance, and let me rest in your unconditional grace.

I pray all these things in the powerful name of your Son, Jesus Christ, Amen.
